Hi team 👋 I've collected a couple of feature requests from our internal Lightdash users and would love to share them with you🙏 There are two things: 1. Reorder fields in the "Selected" panel (top-left of the Explore view) Right now, users can reorder columns in the Results table, but not in the Selected panel. Since the Selected panel shows all the chosen fields at a glance, being able to reorder them there as well would be really nice. 2. Show the expected row count before running "All Results" export When exporting data with the "All Results" option, there's no way to know how many rows will be exported until the export finishes. Users would like to see the expected row count (or at least a rough estimate) before kicking off the export, so they can decide whether to narrow down the filters first. It would also help us avoid unexpectedly heavy queries on our warehouse 🥹 Thanks for considering 🙏

Hey 👋 Thanks for the feedback! For the results set - these are in the order they were added right now - is there a default setting you would want that's different from that? For example alphabetical, or in the same order as the explore? Or is it that you users would like to drag these around? For the exported row count - How would you feel about adding up the maximum row limits from each of the charts? So for example, if you have 10 charts, all with a 500 limit, we would say a max of 5000 rows. I think estimating closer than that would require a second query for all dashboard tiles, which is something we try to avoid!

@Oliver Ramsay Thanks for the quick reply ! Sorry, I should've been clearer on both! 1. Selected fields — It's about manually reordering. If a user drags a field in the Selected panel, the column order in the Results table would change accordingly (kept in sync). No change to the default order needed. 2. Row count — I was thinking about a single chart in the Explore view, not a dashboard. Specifically the "Export Data" dialog: when picking "All results", it would be great to see the expected row count before hitting Download. An on-demand "check row count" button would be totally fine if you'd rather avoid an automatic second query. Let me know if anything's still unclear🙏
