Is there a way to select/click to filter charts ? I have a use case where a table lists all the categorical values along with other metrics in a table. Is there a way to make the other trend lines be filtered to One specific value that is selected.

👋 Thanks for your message - someone from the Lightdash support team will get back to you asap. Feel free to add any additional context to the thread here in the meantime (screenshots, app version if you're self-hosting etc.).

Hey Harsha! The best way to do this is with data apps — you can build a completely interactive set of charts like you're describing, which respond to each other's state exactly how you need, but still based on your context layer and models.
Also, for standard Charts and Dashboards — cross-filtering, date zoom, and drill downs should give you the behavior you're describing. Data apps will give you a more customized 'hover over values and change the charts' type of experience — cross filtering and drill downs are added by clicking a data point and selecting from the context menu there.

yes , Winnie, I have been using the option you provided for standard charts and dashboards. But i only have option to filter for whole dashboard and not just one chart with it right. and also , if i want to compare it for some other data point , i need to remove the filter , select another data point and then filter for the new datapoint. Multiple clicks. It would be easier and user friendly if it can be achieved in 1 click.

Ah I see, understand completely yeah — essentially, the ability to define specific relationships between Charts related to cross-filtering + drill-downs. I define that the stacked bar Monthly Revenue chart (stacked by region grouping), is related to the region dimension in another chart, so clicking/filtering either is an immediate targeted change between just those related charts (as the simplest example, but you could define this on any set, etc.) I've captured that here — and there are a couple of existing related requests as well that I think would enhance cross-filtering together. Thank you for the idea, I think this could yield some cool improvements!
