Hey guys, newbie here. I use the BEM naming structure for HTML/SASS. Do you guys recommend using BEM or does HTMX work better with a different one?

When will the new hx-boost updates make it to unpkg CDN?

BEM has an opinion on HTML ids (don't use them). I was curious if anybody with HTMX experience had tried using BEM and succeeded or switched to a different naming convention.

I can always open an issue for this and bring it back up to 100 😀

Definitely wordy, but the SASS/BEM combo has helped me a lot. But, I'm open to other possibilities.

as long as you keep classes/ids consistent

One of the reasons BEM doesn't use ids is because of specificity problems.

The purpose of using a naming convention like BEM is to reduce the amount of unintended changes by namespacing, but ids kind of break that.

From my reading, people don't like the cascading aspect because it produces a lot of unpredictability.

It's like having all variables in a programming language be global.

BEM is essentially a tool for introducing namespacing into CSS.

BEM might not like ID for styling purposes but HTMX uses them for other purposes. Is there really any conflict?

My purpose isn't to advocate for BEM here. I'm actually curious to know what HTMX people do instead.

this may knock down the necessity for hard-coded ids in many cases:

I'm going to try using Django + HTMX for my personal/business page once I get the design done. I've been following HTMX for a while now and was curious about naming conventions.

`hx-target="body" hx-swap="outerHTML" hx-push-url="true"` works for updating the URL in the browser bar as well.
Just seamlessly works with regular 300 redirects. No changes to backend.
