we are using mock-requests to mock things so I'll need to dig into that

*Narrator: and somehow, once again, he tricked someone else into doing his work. A specialty of his, apparently...*

Here we go https://codepen.io/jreviews/pen/JjOMmYO?editors=1010 Couldn't make it work on jsfiddle

golfed your interpolate function
```js
function interpolate(str, params) {
    try {
        return eval(`env => { with (env) { return \`${str}\` } }`)(params)
    } catch (e) {
        return e.message;
    }
}
```

although a real developer would do curly counting and string escaping 😑

i made a lexer library that relies on JS regexes, what do you expect from me

I will never not use
```js
  function(foo){ ... }
```
as my closure syntax in javascript, out of pure old-timey spite

wow, `fetch` in hyperscript really does work

general question: does anyone have a good, general database book they can recommend?

but most of the professional books I see are too db-specific

I force my new hires to read https://smile.amazon.com/Manga-Guide-Databases-Mana-Takahashi/dp/1593271905

which is like "what's a join, what's an fk, what's a compound fk, what's data normalization"

I may be fired for recommending this book

or it may be the greatest thing that ever happened to my students

these are not mutually exclusive options, btw

I read the entire manga guide to x series and seriously think it was equivalent to a year of college

for advanced sql I read https://smile.amazon.com/Joe-Celkos-SQL-Smarties-Programming/dp/0128007613
