    I believe in dev we handle multiple targets
  • m
    If not, please log a bug and I'll make sure that's fixed for 1.7

    Tailwind really is the 400lb gorilla when it comes to utility css. All the github repos of anything similar seem to stop getting commits around when it came out.
  • m
    Yes. This is a mix of classless, component and utility css
  • m
    W a focus on staying as close to semantic html as possible
  • m
    Minimizing markup interventions
  • g
    thinking about utility classes: using css variables instead is an option
    Copy code
    html
<div style="--m:3em; --sm-m:2em">
  • g
    Copy code
    css
* {
  margin: var(--m);
  @media (max-width: whatever px) {
    margin: var(--sm-m);
  }
}

    "I wonder whether I can force a xsoob using jsonp and htmx?" thought some bad actor somewhere.

    Got an HTMX thread brewing on HN now: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=30285344
  • g
    > I think htmx.org got the HN Hug of Death HN took Netlify down lmao
  • m
    dangerously close to taking the lead Deniz
  • m
    dangerously
  • g
    if by "lead" you mean "person who smugly links the html spec in conversations" then sure
  • m
    what else could I possibly mean?
  • m
    I'm working on Andy Bell
  • g
    unfortunately i am not a time wizard like you and i'm already falling behind on the things i maintain
  • g
    as in getting him to be the lead? that would be so cool
  • g
    speaking of: anyone lmk if you can lend a hand for the vscode-hyperscript extension (i don't run vs code as often anymore). dw if you have no experience, i didn't either & i can help you get familiar with the code
  • m
    i'm trying to get him to at least consult
  • w
    I should be able to use
    <script src="https://raw.githubusercontent.com/bigskysoftware/htmx/dev/src/htmx.js"></script>
    to access dev branch, right? EDIT: Looks like GitHub won't deliver it with the proper MIME type anymore? There's a work-around involving jsdelivr that I'm going to try https://stackoverflow.com/questions/17341122/link-and-execute-external-javascript-file-hosted-on-github EDIT:
    <script src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/bigskysoftware/htmx@dev/src/htmx.js"></script>
    appears to work
  • m
    that looks right
  • w
    Reading through dev branch, looks like
    getTarget
    uses
    querySelectorExt
    which only returns the first element matching the selector. Is there an intention to have
    hx-target
    accept classes (aka multiple targets)? No worries if not, just trying to figure out how to get what I need
  • m
    Yes
  • m
    I think it should take multiple targets, but I'm not sure what the code ramifications are
  • m
    Someone did a pull request that makes oob responses work this way
  • m
    it is a breaking change tho, so I'm a little worried about adopting the behavior in general w/o some sort of option
  • w
    Hmm, yeah fair enough. Did that PR get merged into dev?
