    w/ ides like pycharm you can typically add the
    hx-
    attributes by something like
    alt-enter
    and doing a quick fix
  • a
    ah interesting, will try that out thank you

    How can I change the url of a request after the element has already been loaded?
  • m
    Right now there isn't a good way to do that, but it's on the list
  • m
    you mean something like:
    Copy code
    html
  <button id="foo" hx-get="/whatever"> ... <button>
  <script>
   foo.setAttribute("hx-get", "/somethingelse");
  </script>
    right?
  • u
    Yep

    It would be marvelous to have this kind of dynamicity.. For me it's the only thing I miss on the lib.. Something like manipulating hx definitions with hs, just to increase the black magic fellings 😂

    what css frameworks (if any) do people use around here? I've been using Pico a ton (since it looks good by default and I don't need to set up npm to customize it) but curious to know what this crowd prefers.

    i didn't expect the whole article to be about htmx...

    daisyui + tailwind
  • b
    I’m using Tailwind which has taught me two things: 1. Loads of CSS 2. I’m a terrible UI designer.
  • r
    Daisy seems interesting, design with utilities but use semantic classes.
  • p
    Not heard of daisy, looks interesting
  • h
    yeah looks interesting

    classless is the only new one to me, looks pretty neat! Glad to see that it doesn't require node and libsass just to change a color
  • p
    That is one of my requirements these days, i don't run npm/yarn.
  • g
    So say we all.

    Bi-lal kaifa.
  • r
    I think my ideal CSS framework would be semantic > atomic, css variables to change the design without a hard NPM dependency, and class-lite - ie no stuff, just style the button directly. Pico and classless are pretty close, I just need more utilities to aid in laying out stuff
  • b
    I do like the fact that now tailwind has a standalone cli. Granted it’s just node wrapped up all pretty but a single binary makes life easier
  • m
    can you log a github issue on this?
  • u
    Sure
  • a
    how would i trigger an event with focusout on a text input?
  • m
    hx-trigger='blur'
    I believe
  • a
    that doesn't work, and i don't see that mentioned anywhere in the docs
  • m
    well, in general,
    hx-trigger
    should work w/ any DOM event
  • m
    we aren't going to document them all
