htmx

You should be able to turn boost off for a given section of the DOM

It's more that the `hx-select` defined in boost is inherited to the `#unique-snowflake` htmx-node

I can see an hx-inherit attribute that allows you to specify exactly which attributes inherit on a node

e.g.
```
  hx-inherit="false"
  hx-inherit="hx-swap, hx-select"
  etc.
```

yeah, I think it's the hx-select he is concerned about

I have lots of elements that are already hooked up to a HTMX node, but as stated in the docs, `hx-boost` allows to boost anchor tags automatically while still providing the standard fallback in case the `<a>`-tags don't work

So I'm simply trying to enhance UX by wrapping everything in `hx-boost`, so non-htmx elements can also give a SPA-experience

But then again I have low hopes, since that would mean further distancing yourself from your sub-30kb goal

are you interested in attempting to implement it?

Alright, I can certainly try. But beware that I am by no means advanced in JavaScript

well I have good news! neither am i! https://github.com/bigskysoftware/htmx/blob/c2cb2381844a4c5f3c5677c7632edd9d3b420dfb/src/htmx.js#L127

thats' the line you probably want to play around with

the code base is a little idiosyncratic: I write javascript in a functional manner that is not "normal"

Hope you can say the same about mine hehe

can someone help me understand how we can share parameters with hx-post
> <input id="some-id" type="checkbox" name="some-name" checked="True" tabindex="1" hx-post="{% url 'search_form' %}" hx-swap="outerHTML" hx-trigger="click" hx-target="#search_dropdowns">
i'm trying to trigger hx-post from an HTML checkbox, like this one above.
but on the django backend, I'm getting an empty request.POST

Parameters or POST body? If it's the latter, try `hx-include`

thanks correcting the question
yes, I need it in the POST body
also, I tried
> <input id="some-id" type="checkbox" name="some-name" checked="True" tabindex="1" hx-post="{% url 'search_form' %}" hx-swap="outerHTML" hx-trigger="click" hx-target="#search_dropdowns" hx-include="[name='some-name']">
but it doesn't work that way

So finally, I've discovered that if
> <form>
> <input name="first_input">
> <input name="second_input>
> </inout name="third_input">
> </form>
if i add the trigger to "first input", than the POST body will contain all the inputs be default, except for "first_input"
but if i add the trigger to "form", than all the inner elements are sent with the POST body
<@!729243237147213835> thanks for the help 🙂

hmm, the first input should include its own value

Doesn't include the value when the chechbox is unchecked
