    Consider the following case where we have the form submit button outside:

    I am having an issue where the POST is not triggered. I could swear this was working before, but probably I'm missing something. Any hints?

    Oddly enough, this is failing using Chrome, but on Firefox it works 😕

    Every now and then, I still gloat about telling customers in 2006 that I wouldn’t support IE. Just download Firefox. I only ever had one complaint.

    Hello there. I am reading through the docs and am all excited about htmx integration with django. I have a couple of questions. First, how is hyperscript different from htmx? The docs suggest they can be used along with each other. I just had a quick look at hyperscript. I am a newbie, part-time hobbyist kind of coder so firgive my ignorance.

    hyperscript is a replacement for javascript. Htmx is a way to load partial html snippets into your page through ajax. In essence, it is sort of a replacement for a very specific but common use case of javascript.

    yep, htmx is all about beefing up HTML so you can accomplish more than the "normal" hypermedia links/forms model, while still exchanging hypertext with a server. hyperscript is for pure front end scripting, so things like toggling a class when an event occurs. The two are designed to work together well, but each can be used on its own as well, according to needs.

    Update: I have an Alpine variable changing on the button like 
    @click="isLoading = true"
    meant to hide the form while submitting. Looks like this was hiding the form before htmx was able to submit it. Again, I only saw this behavior on Chrome. Firefox handled it nicely. Looks like the issue came with a recent update from Alpine 2.x to 3.x. Not sure what is causing it, console is clean... Either way, moving the above event handler to the 
    <form>
    itself as 
    @submit="isLoading = true"
    seems to solve it. Just a normal monday...

    Hi guys, I’m screwing around with htmx every now and then and i was wondering if there is an example available which implements a custom modal without hyperscript. The “Custom modal dialog” example on the website uses hyperscript which I don’t know how to translate into vanilla js. Is suspect i have to - add some onclick handlers in which i raise a “closeModal” event (how?) - catch the “closeModal” event somewhere?

    Btw, i’ve managed to sneak in some htmx in a few projects at work. So it’s slowly happening 🙂

    Hi Mark, sorry I've been extremely slammed and haven't been as good at keeping up on pull requests. I do wonder if this could be implemented as an extension first, before we take it into core

    Hello again guys. Can you help me understand the PUT method better. In django UpdateView class POST method is used. I am a bit confused which to use. Is it okay to go ahead with POST, because there could be validation errors on the server side.

    To keep this html only thing going…What about a database that stores info as nested html and then returns that data without any processing needed to display it on the page. Like graph but strictly html structure. HTMQL???

    I don't think HTML as a database is the best idea, but will defend HTML as an API
