mysterious-toddler-20573
10/31/2021, 5:44 PMIt depends. When the control is clicked, are you making a request? - t

10/31/2021, 5:45 PM@mysterious-toddler-20573.. if I have to the server, what is the approach? I went thru the Car Make/Model example - m

10/31/2021, 5:46 PMYeah, the way to handle it if you want to use the server side is like the car make/model example, where you submit on change and then rerender the whole form with whatever the new state of the controls is. - m

10/31/2021, 5:47 PMNot always the best experience, depending on what you are trying to achieve, so, sadly, it depends - h

10/31/2021, 5:49 PM@mysterious-toddler-20573 in the Car Make/Model example, we just inject the return from the server all inside another node.. what if we need to do some custom logic? - m
mysterious-toddler-20573
10/31/2021, 5:50 PMexpand the target to include more of the page (e.g. the entire form) and rerender whatever you need - m
mysterious-toddler-20573
10/31/2021, 5:50 PMthe control that submits the request should include all current values in the form, so you can rerender w/ the current state - h
hundreds-camera-24900
