    I'll check back on this later this evening, and see if I have any other ideas while I'm AFK...
  • w
    thanks!
  • w
    keep in mind it's a request coming from a chrome browser extension, so I'm betting that has something to do with it
  • w
    ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I figured it out

    I read "This Week in HTMX(sp)" with the same internal voice as Carl's Stone Cold Lock of the Century of the Week: "Stone cold htmx news of the century... of the week"

    Damn mozilla moves fast @User
  • g
    That's awesome!
  • m
    ? I don't see it on their site.

    I'm hitting an odd issue w/ the Infinite scroll example - I followed the docs, and I am seeing the last row of my table fire the request when scrolled into view as expected, but the data doesn't get inserted into the dom
  • h
    how would I even start to debug this? shouldn't hx-swap="afterend" just put the new content literally after the current tag?
  • h
    do I need to specify an hx-target
  • h
    ug ignore
  • h
    malformed html 🙃
  • h
    ok so my infinite scroll works, I click into a detail page of one of the new items in the page, click back to go back to the table view and my previous hx tags all fire again
  • h
    is there a way to say after firing remove yourself from the dom
  • m
    can you give us a bit more context? maybe some html?
  • h
    yeah I have this django html:
    Copy code
    {% for anime in animes %}
  <tr {% if forloop.last %}hx-get="{% url "index" %}?{{next_page_qs}}" hx-trigger="revealed" hx-swap="afterend"{% endif %}>
  <th>{{anime.id}}</th>
  <td><a href={{anime.get_absolute_url}} > {{ anime }}</a></td>
    <td>{{anime.genre.all|join:", "}}</td>
      <td>{{anime.avg_rating}}</td>
      <td>{{anime.status}}</td>
      <td>{{anime.season}}</td>
  </tr>
{% endfor %}
    which is just loop over a list and if it's the last item in the list insert the hx-get/hx-trigger-/hx-swap attrs
  • h
    It works completely perfectly as long as I'm on a single page, lazy loading every time you hit the end of the table
  • h
    If I load 2 or 3 buckets of these and I have 20 items per page, I have 60 rows in my table
  • h
    Then I click the link to go to the detail page on say item 53
  • h
    then hit back
  • h
    It looks to like what is happening is the dom content is preserved (so 60 elements in table still) but the scroll position is put at the top of the first loaded fragment (so 21 as first element) and immediately the 20th element's hx-get triggers
  • h
    so I get two fragments that contain 20-40 on the page
  • h
    one from the prior state and one from the newly triggered get
  • h
    let me see about putting it up on a url
  • m
    so the "revealed" is being triggered again on the back nav
