🙂 that's pretty deep end code

My ADHD can't let the little frontend things go!

When I made an animation for navigating away from a page, I overrode the onpopstate handler...
  • g
Maybe a way to delay the swap in
    htmx.beforeSwap
    ? Some web events have
    event.waitUntil
  • m
the ONE and ONLY onpopstatehandler btw
  • m
    😑
  • g
yep, I wrapped yours like a good citizen
  • m
heaven forbid more than one library be interested in history related events
  • g
and had to delay it because my animation script runs first

    web ❤️

so, I managed to load in the container like this
    Copy code
    <div hx-get="/upsy" hx-target="#fuckery" hx-trigger="load delay:1s" _="on htmx:afterOnLoad wait 10ms then add .animTest then remove .fadeInUp then wait 5s then remove #upsy">
    </div>

    that's some fun hyperscriptmx

    It was a long night!

    pronounced "Hyper Scripta Mix"
  • r
    This is pretty cool.
  • u
It probably started out semi-okay and then got wrecked in my iterations
  • r
I could see a lot of my smaller apps using this instead of Vue or w/e.

    🙂

I imagine it would take discipline to not make spaghetti for bigger stuff, though.
  • m
    htmx or hyperscript?
  • r
    oh, htmx
  • m
w/ htmx its not so bad, so long as you aren't trying to get into microreplacement
  • m
if you have a few active elements on a page, all good
  • m
if you are trying to build an interactive spreadsheet, not so much
  • m
hyperscript is still an open question
  • r
I've been evaluating some ideas for back end admin tools
  • m
you can definitely do some damage w/ hyperscript
  • u
Thanks for your help! I really like your project, maybe one day I can actually learn how to use it more effectively!

Little question: when using htmx-boost is there a way to designate elements that should be ignored? I placed the htmx attributes on the document's body. And it almost works perfect for my needs, but there are a couple of forms, that have their own logic and validations, and , ideally, should be ignored by htmx-boost. Thanks so much for your feedback.
