    One idea: put a bunch of these options in an extension that uses hooks. e.g. I noticed that GitHub JSON hates htmx headers (sends CORS rejectino), so the answer is to set to strip the headers before submit. I was thinking of writing an htmx extension to make it easier to do header control with a few attributes. That way it makes it easier for someone else in the future to clone off the extension and build their own wacky request tweaks later.

    i will definitely add a timeout to the config options available in events like 
    htmx:configRequest

    All options look good to me. Gut feeling: it would be nice to set the timeout for all requests on a global level.
