Is it possible to have your server include the parameter in the

tag when you generate the HTML fragment?

Something like

<a href="/my-url?page=7">

. That would be the "HATEOAS" way to do it.

I see. Sorry I misunderstood your question. It seems like it's more about using

hx-include

to include multiple items in the request.

You could certainly put in a PR to do a null check. Alternatively, you might look into

hx-vals

(https://htmx.org/attributes/hx-vals/) that lets you include extra values (including dynamically calculated ones) in your

get

request.

Encoding the paging directly in the link is the htmx way. You could squirrel it away into an input to be included by other elements if you wanted to.

With respect to empty values, I don't want to not include a parameter if it is empty by default, since an empty value is still a value

However, I think this could be done with either hyperscript or an event hanlder

@User i am definitely encoding the paging in the link, that's not the issue; the issue is, i want to be able to hx-include the current value in some other inputs. i stepped away from it for a bit but i'll try to narrow down the question later

i have this table that has multiple filter options

if i filter by either of the two, both of them show up in the queryparam

makes the url unwieldy and less readable

what about something like,

hx-include="my-selector, empty=false"

that doesn't include empty values

where the default is empty=true

Hi everyone! I'm not really a web dev but have been using htmx in a side project because I found it to be a great way to add interactivity to my site without having to go through all the complexities of more popular JS frameworks. And, so far I've been loving it! I'm here because I recently came across an issue and wanted to know if there's a better way of doing things. So here it is: I created a few multi-selects in a form that update a table on the page, based on what the user inputs. The table also allows for infinite scrolling. It's very similar to this example: https://htmx.org/examples/infinite-scroll/. But in my case, there are two triggers: 1) When any of the multi-selects change it replaces the full table and a div on top of it. 2) When the last row is revealed that triggers a request it only adds new rows to the bottom of the table. I got that working well. But then, I also wanted to update the page title when the multi-selects change. My current workaround is to embed an event to the div in 1 that, after it finishes loading, calls a JS function that updates the title on its own (e.g.,

_="on load call updateTitle()"

). Does anybody know if there's a better way to do this? If this seems too confusing, lmk and I'll try to share a small working example.

If you include a

<title>

tag in your HTML response, htmx will automatically update the page title with it.

Turns out that is not a problem for us. We are dropping support for IE11
