    Here you are just using the fetch() api, so if you want to show a message you'll need to resolve the promise that fetch() returns and then show it there

    now I do in object 'text' hx-trigger="change" hx-target="other object", do python stuff and return whole object with value. Dunno is this the way how should I do this

    Yes, you should be able to do exactly this. There’s a good example on the htmx.org website

    I think it demos having two related select boxes, but the principle should be the same if you’re using

    sadly they are not the same types

    Just remember to include an 
    id=“”
    in the text input box. That helps maintain the state of each element.
