    So I've been trying to create a simple kibana like page for filtering events in my homelab, I've been going through the docs but there is one thing I cannot really find, maybe it just isn't possible? I have multiple dropdowns, and I would like each one to represent a fragment in the url, something like 
    /events/${host}/${prefix}/${suffix}
    can I get the input of these dropdowns to use that as parts in the url with htmx?

    I would have a form that submits to /events and then construct the URL you want on the server side and return it using the `HX-Push' header: https://htmx.org/reference/#response_headers

    speaking about tailwind don't know if anybody use RunCSS (https://github.com/mudgen/runcss) but it was amazing , in two words this is a javascript which mimic Tailwind css but don't need any compilation

    @lemon-lighter-38140 personnaly, i will use some interecption of get event redirect them to a javascript function and after that call htmx.ajax with the recomposed url

    Wow, cool project! I haven't gotten in to CSS-in-JS up until now, but it's still a pretty impressive feat. I do love the new template literals in JS. You can do so many amazing things with them 🙂

    @User yes, this project is really amazing because it parse class and build stylesheet .... i will try to use it in a two way path build my page normally with tailwind css class element and use runcss to calculate css, and export this css in a linked css file ( using quickjs https://bellard.org/quickjs/ for building and save files )

    how is the run css dev experience, with tailwind I can get all the nice auto complete to make sure im not making typo's in my class names

    so I guess I want tailwind on dev server and then swap on live?

    the two aren't incompatible .i guess i use a light text editor so no autocompletion 🙂

    I feel on shaky ground whenver I write code with autocompletes, I find that it saves me much time never having tyop's in identifiers

    Personally, I struggle with tools like Tailwind, because semantic classes have always made more sense to me. But I know they work really well. But, I really liked building transitions in Javascript because they can make more intelligent decisions than pre-baked CSS. So, I'd guess that something like runcss would be the best of both worlds? Define functions that build the exact stylesheet you need, then link them to DOM nodes somehow?

    you need to think of tailwind like freedom with guardrails

    You use the class names for marging and padding to offsets align across the design

    there is some repeated work when doing stuff like color transitions on buttons, but its a small price.

    @User with runcss it seems you could build a sort of super class wich emebed multi rules : component so you could avoid this (don't have try it)

    Is it possible to write a standalone SPA kind of application with htmx (that you normally write with vue or like frameworks)? It essentially means, ability to store json tokens, append tokens to every request. Are there any examples for this?

    hi! I'm experimenting with using hx-sse to stream a slow to compute list from the server. What I'm having trouble with is closing the event stream after the list is complete.

    interesting... @User is the SSE guru here. Maybe we need to have a custom hx:close event that can be triggered by the server?
