the first instinct when looking at something new is to look for reasons not to look deeply into it

The crazy thing is just that they decided to spent time reading enough about to engage in commentary on it, but not enough to learn it... aka. bikeshedding.

it's hard to not engage when everyone around you is making apps with htmx and succeeding

Like its ok to not care about new frontend thing, but then why even spend brain cyckles writing commentary on it.

I feel like we can repurpose this for "use of hypermedia" or just "htmx" on the Y axis

When boosting, HTMX scrolls to top on
    settling
. Is there a way to scroll on
    swapping
    instead?

    Neverming, Ill just use the
    afterSwap
    event and scroll by myself.

is there a way to build dynamic urls for a hx-get call? Eg like "/person/{personId}/addresses" ? For REST APIs.

The canonical for any sort of dynamic request modification is listening for htmx:configRequest event and changing it here

That's something you'd implement on the backend when creating the HTML you send to the client, no?

with the client side templates extension

I always generate URLs server side so as not to give the frontend the burden of routing knowledge.

I just want to say again, using htmx on a production site with Laravel and blade fragments... it's so much better than the ridiculous front end crap I ripped out. We are making money with this thing. It's insanely fast. I'm two weeks ahead of schedule with product features. With two full time devs on Vue, we were always three to four weeks behind on frontend work.
