ok I fixed the arrow keys movement, but is the yaw/pitch movement strange or it's just me

I feel like the cube is rotating

    for some reason

I fixed some lag too, I forgot to instantiate the cube only in init

    I think it's clearer now

Cool so was it the cube rotating ?

actually I was technically trying to fix a non-existent bug, so the cube wasn't really rotating, I just tried rendering the same cubes as in the other screenshot to test something and it behaves as expected

nice ! I'm wondering what the slightly darker patches are on the faces of the cube - I'm guessing just rendering artifacts ?

looks like it's reflecting something which in that demo it can't be

oh lol I see what you mean, no that doesn't appear here

Qso it's just in the capture. Ok. Compression artifact then maybe

is it normal to see the shiny spot (the specular lightning thing) when I get closer to the cube

I mean it doesn't show up when im a little far

I haven't run my code in a while but what I recall is that the specular hotspot is sensitive to view angle and to the exponent you use. I know when I go onto the later models cases you would only see if when the light source, the model and the viewer (camera) were at the correct angles to each other - which makes sense.

Also the intensity of the spot will make it smaller - lower intensity it will be more diffuse

all the lighting parameters is a major reason I have a UI in my - so you can tweak them realtime and see what they do

    ahh I see

In the image above - I think you see a fairly diffuse hotspot in the top towards the right corner - but it feels like that hotspot is not reflecting directly into the camera or it's intentionally diffuse

if you rotate the cube face a little that might help - also the reason it helps to be able to rotate the model

    I think it's a rendering thing too
