but ctrl shif z also works
  • w
weird, not like that on mine
  • a
    i use ctrl shift z
  • w
    oh
  • m
    Weird
  • m
    Its really annoying
  • w
more programs are adopting that tbh
  • a
    both are common redo shortcuts
  • w
a lot of shift+ctrl shortcuts are the reverse of ctrl shortcuts
  • l
you could rebind it i think
  • w
    yeah
  • w
can bind multiple too I think
  • h
Do you mean like coroutines/ python yield ? It would be nice but I don't believe haxe has them

Is anyone around who can help me with some shader stuff? I want to give the appearance of motion - like a slot machine wheel spinning. Here's what I'm thinking: I have a column of 5 images I think what I can do is: add a shader effect over the column that 'blurs' the images vertically? randomly change the icons quickly for a few seconds while slowly reducing the amount of blur in the shader down to 0 and then stop 'shuffling' images... Does that make sense? does anyone have a better solution or can help me make this work?
  • h
i mean a non-shadery way to do it would be... what? have a
    FlxSpriteGroup
    object with a
    clipRect
that only shows a section and have my images spawn above the 'crop' have them move quickly to below the 'crop' and repeat for a few seconds, slowing them down until eventually they are 0?

Is it possible to thicken out the outline of an FlxText?
  • s
    now i know
  • e
    no
  • e
in fact, there is no outline
  • e
thats just part of the font
  • s
    now you're confusing me
  • s
How would you explain this then? It has an outline/border.
  • e
    are you sure thats
    FlxText
    and not
    FlxBItmapText
  • m
Its FNF, so I think it is flxtext
  • s
    ^^^^^
  • m
Does the outline only work with flixel default font? because I use it and it works
  • s
Not sure if it works with the default font but I found this,
    borderSize:Float = 1
    on the HaxeFlixel API page.
  • s
    borderSize:Float = 1
    > The size of the border, in pixels.
  • h
    FlxBitmapText.setBorderStyle()
    does work
  • e
    oh maybe i am wrong
