    I'll try it.
  • f
    dont use that by the way
  • f
    if its still the same
  • f
    the game wont compile
  • s
    Yeah, I just "noted" those.
  • s
    If that's the right word.
  • s
    It seems to not have an error for that line now.
  • f
    you seem to be using conditions wrong, theyre supposed to be written like this```haxe var thing = true; // if condition if (thing) // if its true trace("hello!"); // or if (thing) // if its true { trace("hello!"); } // else if condition else if (!thing) // if its false (!) trace("bye!"); // or else if (!thing) // if its false (!) { trace("bye!"); } // else condition else // none of the above trace("how are you?"); // or else // none of the above { trace("how are you?"); } ```you should first try to learn the basics of programming before trying to mod a game šŸ™‚

    This makes a lot of sense to look at.

    Check your braces
  • s
    whats a brace?
  • t
    {
  • t
    curly brace
  • s
    oh
  • w
    I mean, there isn't a } there, without more information I'm inclined to believe the compiler over you
  • w
    also if you edited code after the build the line numbers won't match up
  • s
    wdym by "after the build"?
  • s
    like
  • s
    after the build is "made" or?...
  • w
    compile errors and warnings like the one you posted happen after a build, like when i press F5 or ctrl+Shft+B
  • w
    or run
    lime build
    or
    lime test
  • w
    you attempt to compile the game and the compiler tells you all the stuff you did wrong
  • w
    its a toxic relationship tbh
  • t

    is there a way to stop a function mid execution with another function?
  • w
    no
  • e
    throw
    but thats a bad idea
  • w
    i mean you can do
    Copy code
    hx
function isPostive(num)
{
    return num > 0;
}
function thing()
{
    // do stuff
    if (isPostive(-1) == false)
        return;
    // do other stuff
}
