we have grouped PR merges enabled. each PR is squash-merged. what i'm seeing is that the original PR on github gets marked closed rather than merged. i see the comment text from graphite saying "this PR was merged via draft PR #...", but what concerns me is that github issues linked to PRs do not automatically close with this process. secondary, analytics looks all wrong (lots of closed rather than merged PRs, or as many closed PRs as there are merged PRs). what methods exist to have PRs properly marked merged instead?

hey Shaheen, this is expected behavior when using the parallel CI feature with the merge queue and is due to GitHub API limitations that prevent us changing the state of those PRs to be "Merged" when that is what they have been in practice. There is not a method from Graphite's end currently to overcome that unfortunately.

sorry to join this thread but couldn't you technically create native github stacks from it and use the github merge api for it?

Potentially yes, but the current architecture predates GitHub's stacks and they are not interoperable with
