I know it's been a repeated refrain, but I'd love to add my voice to those asking for support for GitLab. GitHub is going downhill pretty badly: Compare their status page: https://www.githubstatus.com/uptime To: https://mrshu.github.io/github-statuses/#about And: https://red-squares.cian.lol/ It's bad enough to have such poor uptime, but to grossly misrepresent it is toxic to trust. I don't think it's leftfield to suggest that GitHub is going to start losing commercial customers. If Graphite hitches its wagon too much to GitHub, then they'll start losing folks too. We love Graphite and it's had a majorly positive impact on our productivity... but it's not going to keep us on GitHub. If we have to lose Graphite to leave GH, we will. I doubt we're alone

Graphite might have something up their sleeve here https://x.com/MerrillLutsky/status/2049231503108780405

I don't have an X account, so all I can see is the cutesy mystery message

i guess i'm not really sure what to make of that... is a roadmap too much to ask for 😢
tweeting like an attention-starved tween isn't really doing it for me 🤷

I'm just here to present what I've seen (not a huge X user myself). This is top of mind for me too with GitHub disrupting my work just about every day. I would also prefer a roadmap over the current silence.

Any chance for Forgejo support?
j
Hi! We don’t have plans to add Forgejo support right now. That said, if you’re looking at alternatives to the current git forge options, you may be interested in our recent Origin announcement: https://graphite-community.slack.com/archives/C02DRNL3HQU/p1779978677586289 Origin is Cursor’s code hosting platform, and we’re gathering early feedback from teams who care about where git hosting should go next.

definitely eyeing origin too, already reached out! just.. as I consider decoupling my workflows from github, I'm also decoupling from tools that are tightly coupled to GH rather than broadly integrating with the common forges (or providing an api surface for me to integrate with whatever I need)
j
Glad to hear Origin is already on your radar, and this is useful feedback for us as we think about broader forge support and API surfaces.
