Hi all. I”m very now to graphite. I’m trying to use it for stacked flows. One little thing though, I do not like the github merge options for PR’s so I always do my own merges. git checkout main git fetch git pull git checkout <feature branch> git rebase main git push --force-witih-lease git checkout main git merge --ff-only <feature branch> git push that’s the “long form” usually this is easier as the feture branch is already up-to-date, etc. Does graphite of gh have any issues with that flow?

hey ed, are you using any
gt
commands with this flow or is it mostly
git
e
I’m using gt where possible,
gt sync
,
gt submit
, basicaly any
gt
command I can, short of those that invoke the “limited” options that Github offers for releasing a PR. I lament the lack of a ff merge, available on bitbucket for example. I can never figure out why Github just does not offer this.

your local ff-only landing flow is compatible with
gt
. just land stacked PRs bottom-up so each branch is rebased onto current main before the ff merge, then
gt sync
after you push main.
