Can Graphite’s merge queue support autosquash as part of the flow? We tend to push fixup commits in response to review comments so the reviewer can see what changed. Then when it’s time to merge we want the bots to autoquash those commits before trunk.

we’re just starting to trial Graphite. We’ve been use Mergify for our megue queue which does support autosquash in rebase merges but they’re taking that away and we’re looking for an alternative. E.g. if there are these commits in the PR:
refactor: foo
feat: bar
fixup! refactor: foo
Then when you put it in the merge queue it’ll end up in trunk as:
refactor: foo
feat: bar

Hey Turadg! Today we support squash and merge strategy with our Merge queue though I do not believe we will auto squash
fixup
prefixed commits unfortunately.

Is there a lifecycle hook I can use to get Github Actions to autosquash when a PR is put into the merge queue? I think with Github Merge Queue there is.

on our radar but not available today. We do though show version changes in our PR page so something like
gt modify
without the
-c
flag will ammend the commit rather than add a new one, and still in our PR page the reviewer could see what changed
