I’m on a repo already using graphite, I’m getting set up, get this error on
gt submit
after
gt init
and ensuring a branch is tracked --
Copy code
ERROR: Command failed with error exit code 128:
git rev-parse refs/gt-fetch-head/master
refs/gt-fetch-head/master

fatal: ambiguous argument 'refs/gt-fetch-head/master': unknown revision or path not in the working tree.
can’t find any info online about what
gt-fetch-head
is, or how it might not be set up right

hey Echlin, what is the output of
gt --version
and how did you initially track the branch? Did you run
gt track
?
d
$ gt --version [132530] 1.7.12 yeah I ran
gt track
on the present branch, it did the dialog and asked me to pick base branch, seems to have succeeded
p
was the base branch the trunk or another branch?
d
trunk (master)
p
gotcha. could you please run
gt feedback --with-debug-context "fatal: ambiguous argument refs/gt-fetch-head/master: unknown revision or path not in the working tree."
to send us your CLI logs
d
Feedback received loud and clear 😊 /4.33s
