Hey, is there a way to associate my branch names to Jira tickets? For example, if there's an issue XYZ-1453 in Jira, then the branch name would be XYZ-1453-title-of-jira-ticket. I see that we get date-prefixed branches by default.

yeah, you can look into linking GitHub and JIRA together, and what the options for that are
for example, putting the ticket name in the PR description might trigger a link
another example might be the commit message could trigger it:
gt create -m "[JIRA-1234] feat(api): Added logging to rate limiting"
also having it in the commit message would get it into the branch name

In Github we have linked a certain format to our JIRA issue detail page. So we can click through to JIRA from within Github

We have the Jira & GitHub connections set up.
also having it in the commit message would get it into the branch name
Does that mean that I should run
gt create
and out the JIRA-123 in the commit message and the branch will get the name I want?

It still gets prepended sadly
What I mentioned was GitHub specific

What still gets prepended?

Haven’t looked into that further, maybe I did something wrong I don’t know
