12/20/2023, 10:55 AMgt create from the first branch (branch_A) in my stack ; except I forgot to add --insert which is what I meant to do. So now my newly created branch_B sits in its separate stack which is not what I wanted.
the tip generated by gt create said
tip: To insert a created branch into the middle of your stack, use the `--insert` flag.
If you meant to insert this branch, you can rearrange your stack's dependencies with gt move
So I try a gt move on branch_A , which results in new_branch_name does not need to be restacked on branch_A . It makes sense, but from the tip I was expecting my branch to be inserted.
1. Am I missing something ? It seems like there would need to be a gt move --insert option, or that the tooltip is a bit misleading
2. My best option to fix seems to be gt pop ; gt create --insert , right ?
Also, I just started using Graphite, and it's been great so far !Alyssa Baum
