Do you need the branches to be closed or are you just trying to force submit? If it is the latter, you can do:
Copy code
$ gt submit --stack --always
If you want to rebase & submit, you could do:
Copy code
$ gt sync --restack && gt submit --stack

I'm not sure what your question means. I'd like to have the pull requests associated with each branch in the stack closed in a way that leaves each branch free to be resubmitted at a later date.

So you just want the PRs to be closed? I don't think that is available today, but you could set them to draft to ensure that no one sees them.

It GTI, once a branch goes into a submitted state, it's not possible to rebase it on another branch, at least by dragging. I don't think setting the PRs to draft would achieve this. Sounds like this isn't supported.

Oh interesting, this seems like a bug. cc @Jacob Gold
Just so I'm clear, your goal is to rebase a submitted branch onto another branch?
d
Ah, I realize I was confused. I thought it was impossible to do this with submitted branches, but now I realise that every time I tried, I had uncommitted changes which blocks all rebasing.
I guess this is a non-problem!

Maybe we should communicate this a little better then
I had uncommitted changes which blocks all rebasing
