This time I used
git
regular commits to make some changes in the middle, then
gt restack
before
gt ss
In the meantime I'm `--force`ing 😓
note how the force also calls the push on the complaining branch a no-op too

Can you try upating the CLI? The engineer who built this is on PTO today, will remind them to take a look once they are back (tomorrow). In the mean time, continue doing
gt ss -f

Hey Chris - Can you run
gt submit --debug
and dm me the output?
If any of you see this, feel free to DM me the logs from running
gt submit --debug
and I'll take a look. As a note, if you update the PR using git directly, it's expected that you'll need to pull down remote changes.
