Our GH workflow requires that our engineers push to a specific branch to deploy our app in one of our staging environments and trigger a GH Actions Workflow that runs a set of e2e tests on the app. Is there a smart way to get graphite (or some other automation?) to do that for us if a PR is in the merge queue? As it stands right now, our queue is blocked on this check for every PR in the queue and someone has to notice the blockage, pull the code and push it to a branch.

Hi @Eduardo Del Balso - just to confirm my understanding of your issue:
1. Are you using the Graphite merge queue, or something else?
2. Are you trying to use the merge queue to merge into a specific branch that is NOT main?

I am using graphite for the merge queue and I am merging to main. Graphite is rebasing and merging for all PRs in the queue, but it only merges when I complete the last missing check which is started by pushing to a deploy branch, which causes a deploy to stating, and if the deploy succeeds, the check passes and graphite merges

So if there’s 9 prs in the queue, none will merge unless we push the code from the head of the queue to the deploy branch, and once we do that and the checks pass, then graphite will merge that pr from the queue, rebase on the next one and wait for us to deploy the next in line, etc

Got it, thanks for clarifying! I’ll check in with our engineers on this.
