Here's more on auth methods, and here's more on privacy and security! Generally we urge users towards App authentication (installing the Graphite App on their organization/repos) since it gives you a better experience with Graphite (GitHub webhooks!), as well as better security since you can specify which repos we'll have access to. Conversely, PAT and OAuth (which is strongly advised against) will be granted access to all of our resources.
