hi, I’d like to remove a user from our organization so we can buy the team tier with the annual commitment. Is there anyone here who can help me with that?
p
Hi Matias! We bill based on active users, so ideally you're not paying for users who aren't using the platform (if this is what you're concerned about). Does this help with your situation!!! You can read more here

hi Pranathi, this user was active 10 days ago and won’t use it anymore. My understanding is that a user is active if it’s using the platform within the 30 days so we might want to remove that user
p
Gotcha! Our prorated billing plan gives you credit back for users that go inactive - in your case, you'll get $30 credit for this user in the next billing period back into your stripe account if they stay inactive. @Carissa Jansen can explain more here!

how does the prorated billing plan work for the annual plans? we are planning to buy 9 licenses that way
oh, got it. The doc explains the credits thing too for the annual. Sorry about that. Follow-up question, is the concept of credit something internal or our CC will receive the money back? If it’s an internal concept can you share the details like when it expires and how we can use them
c
No worries! Happy to be more explicit: • Let’s say you sign up for an annual plan today (August 14th). You’ll be charged $300 * 9 active users today. • If a user becomes inactive next month, you’ll be issued a credit for $300 * 1 user * 11/12 = $275 to your Stripe account. • AFAIK credits do not expire and will apply automatically to your next billing invoice (whether that is an additional user becoming active or your annual plan renewal). It is not a refund back to the CC.
cc @kush here as well for Stripe credit info!

roger that, I will proceed with the purchase then

ditto to everything @Carissa Jansen said! credits will roll into the next invoice so i wouldn’t expect that you’ll be carrying them for long (and they do not expire as well)
