07/26/2023, 3:05 PMThere was a GitHub incident that was affecting merges (https://githubstatus.com/). Looks like it just now resolved. We had a banner up to notify users about this as of 30 minutes ago, did you try and merge before that?

07/27/2023, 2:15 PMHmm, I have to admit I might have dismissed the banner without paying attention 😅 But it's still happening to me this morning, and the status page seems to indicate everything's good on Github's end?
