If you run
gt upstack restack
afterward, it will have the same effect as
gt commit create
d
you can add that to an after commit hook ^ if you want it to be automagic
j
Perhaps there's a way you can hook that into your UI via a callback or somethign?
ah, I like the commit hook idea too 🙂
m
Ah cool, yeah, I could make an after commit hook
Cheers 🙂
d
the worst idea is realias
git
to a shell script you write and then intercept
commit
and do it there 😉
but i'd go with the hook
j
No problem! Note that if you do run into rebase conflicts during the restack, you'll need to resolve them — perhaps you're OK with landing in a conflict state, but I'm not sure exactly what the intelliJ UI would do in that case
d
FWIW, i use
git commit
for everything (i didn't know what
gt commit
would do for me so i didn't use it), and i just
gt ss
and
gt upstack restack
manually when i need it
