I believe at the moment there isn't - any reason in particular that you don't want to see the stack tree comment? Alternatively you could manually go in and delete the comment yourself on GitHub if it's a giant stack that's taking up screen realestate

+1 to this, I want my PRs to look the same as my other team members’, none of whom use Graphite. I never use
gt ss
to submit PRs unless they’re in a stack for this reason.

@Pranathi Peri In my current company i use graphite mainly to rebase multiple branches at once and keeping my prs up to date, but basically I only do stacks of one (also love the visual aspect of the
gt bco
command). I would love to use the
gt ss
command but I dont want the automatic graphite messages that dont bring anything to my use case

I would also really like to disable the comments with the stack tree message I contribute to open source projects and would prefer if the comments were not part of the pull requests.

The main reason we decided to include (and will probably keep) the stack tree comment on GitHub for every PR merged with Graphite is to make sure everyone else viewing a PR in a stack on GitHub has the same context they’d have if they were viewing it on Graphite, so they don’t accidentally merge a PR mid-stack
s
@Pranathi Peri but that concern is not applicable to “stacks” of one, which is what Xavier and I are talking about

Got it - I'll look into this!

Agree that it’s important context if you’re in the middle of a stack. I would only want to turn it off when I’m submitting a stack of one. 🙂
