not a dumb question. My feeling is that the graphite team is balancing the selling point of Github interoperability with incentivizing people to use the Graphite interface. It’s a consistent source of friction for me, I try not to complain too much. 🙃 But you’re not alone in this. FWIW Graphite team, I think your interface is so much better than Github that people would still choose to use Graphite web, even if y’all made it low-friction to get github links. You might even get people adopting Graphite who currently wouldn’t because of the friction.
