Is there a way to untrack branches / reset the repo state
gt branch track
and
gt branch untrack
are the commands you're looking for here! more on that here
I am trying to write onboarding instructions for the team so I want to go through the flow a few times.
I'd recommend having your team go through this quick start! Additionally, this cheatsheet of common commands we find people use in their every day workflow should also help. If you want a more in-depth list of
gt
commands, you can also take a look at the command reference.

ah! git branch untrack - thanks
thanks for the link to the onboarding doc - it's a little tricky to integrate that into our workflow because at the point people are using
gt
they've already cloned a repo (gt is going to be installed through a setup script in the repo), and we would prefer that people don't submit test stacks to the repo as per the instructions
in my dream world they would clone, run the setup script, and then be able to use
gt
with no further prompts
p
ah, i see - your later questions make a lot more sense now too. @Jacob Gold might be able to answer more questions about automating trunk branch selection/pulling branches into
gt
automatically for your setup
j
gt repo init --reset
will clear all graphite metadata
n
awesome!

how do I communicate to the graphite web interface that I removed the tracking? I still see the whole stack in the “show stack” tab of the PR
