Personally one thought I do have is that a lot of Grail's future will probably be based on Micronaut in one way or another. There are already some parts integrated and I think there will be more as time goes on. I've been reading through the documentation for Micronuat, which I will be using in my next job, and I can see a lot of good thought has gone into it, as it was born from the Grails team. The one thing that Micronaut lacks compared to Grails is the convention over configuration, which to me is the killer feature of Grails, along with a bunch of other small features.
