as far as I can see the benefits are that you can use most of the features and libraries provided by micronaut out of the box (the biggest exception so far is using the HTTP server parts such as micronaut controllers). this means for example 1. conditional beans - https://docs.micronaut.io/latest/guide/index.html#conditionalBeans 2. reflection-free AOP -https://docs.micronaut.io/latest/guide/index.html#aop 3. declarative HTTP clients - https://docs.micronaut.io/latest/guide/index.html#clientAnnotation for us the biggest benefit is that one can also share code (services) between grails applications and lambda functions more easily. we can for example use the libraries we’ve created for micronaut within Grails (see https://agorapulse.github.io/micronaut-libraries/)
