Ah yes, I agree on that. Biggest issue I had when migrating was figuring out which plugin version works on the new Grails version and the dependencies for that plugin work as well. I love the plugins idea but it can be very bad when an upgrade is desired but you see that a plugin you are using was not maintained and can't be adapted to the new version.
