I guess you meant
9.7.1_1
r
Yes. What did I stay wrong? This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below. Error CodeNoSuchKey/Code MessageThe specified key does not exist./Message Keydistributions/gradle-9.7.1_1-bin.zip/Key RequestIdY4XRP1CT10RVGM70/RequestId HostIdEfCTT3np9zIqnbankS3ZozuVPjs3irNUI+aWtE26L5O/KyqLr5i03NpHhxoLpowUIxK3ZcBN5UA=/HostId /Error

Apologies, I meant to say
9.7.1
and not
9.7.1_1
As from 9.0 all Gradle distributions are 3-part semantically versioned and there are not underscores in the versions.
r
Why did/does 'gradle upgrade' goto 9.7.1_1. I'm now stuck with both versions: 9.7.1_1 on '/usr/local/Cellar" and 9.7.1 on 'opt/homeview/opt'
y
That I don't know as I purely rely on the gradle wrapper OR SDKman.
r
Thanks. In the past similar issues get sorted by someone at Gradle, over a day or two. It's the weekend so I have else to do ... TIA
y
There was an issue where 9.7.1 did not show up in SDKman and I think it got resolved last week or the week before. Maybe there is some relationship to that specific roll-out.

Where does
gradle update
come from? This is not a built-in task. So where does it take its versions list from?
r
Homebrew
brew update
brew upgrade
brew list gradle
/opt/homebrew/Cellar/gradle/9.7.1_1/bin/gradle
/opt/homebrew/Cellar/gradle/9.7.1_1/libexec/bin/gradle
/opt/homebrew/Cellar/gradle/9.7.1_1/libexec/lib/ (706 files)
/opt/homebrew/Cellar/gradle/9.7.1_1/libexec/src/ (10870 files)
/opt/homebrew/Cellar/gradle/9.7.1_1/sbom.spdx.json

@roger.lee, in your gradle project, open
gradle/wrapper/gradle-wrapper.properties
and set
distributionUrl
to
https\:<//services.gradle.org/distributions/gradle-9.7.1-bin.zip>
, or regenerate with the brew-installed binary:
gradle wrapper --gradle-version 9.7.1
.
👍 1
then try running any gradle task in your project like
./gradlew help --version
r
My: 'gradle.properties' was correct. It now builds the EAR but displays an error when I try to deploy my EAR on WildFly. Was working 100% until 'Brew' upgraded to 'gradle-9.7.1_1-bin.zip'.
./gradlew help --version
