Is this an issue with 9.0 that was not present with 8.x or it's just a general issue with configuration cache store? I suggest you open an issue with a reproducer. I think the best way to troubleshoot that is to profile it, with e.g. https://github.com/gradle/gradle-profiler If this is not a new issue with the newest released version, let's not use #CJWG8VDM0 channel to ask questions, better to use #CAHSN3LDN or #C013WEPGQF9
