Well, naming is hard either way. Not everyone will consider naming (or subjects / descriptions). Most people that join a community or server or slack just post to the first channel they land in. There are nicely named "configuration-cache", "config-avoidance", "dependency-management", "kotlin-dsl", ... But nevertheless imho the most questions that could be asked in those channels are still asked in "community-support", either because the person is not aware there might be a better channel or they just don't care or do not think about it. So what I want to say with that is, that I "slightly" doubt the renaming has much effect. But feel free to rename it. 🙂

Well, the key point is splitting contributor support and end user support channels
Renaming... oh well 🙂

support and end user support channels
well, we have that. the question is just how to get contributing questions over to the other channel. and I just doubt the renaming would significantly change that, but 🤷‍♂️ besides that, as far as I remember there are not so many questions about contributing in community-support, but I might remember wrongly of course. 🙂

I was using search on linen, but I definitely trust your perception more!

Well, my perception can well be wrong. If a topic is done, I most likely cross it from my mind to make room for other topics. 😄 But the linen search I usually do not trust too much. Almost everytime I try to find something I know I posted I have serious problems to find it. 😞

Yes this search Isn't great. I do have some ideas about how we could improve it for end users but realistically it's not something I will get to in the near future.
