Never mind, perhaps it is some Intellij issue? I can run it via setting it as like this
Copy code
tasks.register<JavaExec>("runMe") {
    classpath = sourceSets["main"].runtimeClasspath
    mainClass = "com.mypackage.MyMainClass"
}

Are you on latest IJ version? Could well be that in older version are still some CC incompatibilites, but I think in latest version is should work better.
f
Thank you. I have tired to update to the latest and it is the same issue 🤔
v
And which problems it complains about?
f
"Configuration cache problems found in this build." - not sure how to set up in IntelliJ to see more info 🤔
v
Just scroll up? Make sure you do not have a sub-node selected in the tree on the left or IJ does not show most of the build output.

Oh, perhaps I wasn't clear enough - I am using the green "Run" button besides a main file, which generates some IntelliJ run actions, and it triggers some gradle run, and it fails without any other info above, besides the line I posted.
If I just click on the gradle task from the gradle view, then it runs well (with a manually created task, instead of let IJ auto create one from the main method).
v
Doesn't change what I said. Look here for some visual help and a chance to up-vote: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-226613

Thanks. Anyway this is what I see, there seemed to be a large error log then flashed away super fast, so I only can see all these after click the green run button of a main method...
Oh I see what you mean, If I click the upper element in the tree then I can see it. I was confused that you were talking about some project file trees. Okay now I see my errors seems to be related to my own configuration. (Where I need to set up some system properties...)
after fixing my issue, I saw the gradle issue now
Copy code
1 problem was found storing the configuration cache.
- Task `:testutil:Main.main()` of type `org.gradle.api.tasks.JavaExec`: cannot serialize object of type 'java.io.PipedInputStream', a subtype of 'java.io.InputStream', as these are not supported with the configuration cache.
  See <https://docs.gradle.org/8.5/userguide/configuration_cache.html#config_cache:requirements:disallowed_types>
