hmm... interesting, it seems in my build-logic's conventional plugin's kts script, I need to write it like this in the dependencies block 🤔
implementation("io.github.themrmilchmann.gradle.ecj:gradle-ecj:0.2.0")
This seems quite different than the plugin-id. So I need to put
id("io.github.themrmilchmann.ecj")
in the plugin part, and there I cannot put a version.
v
If you want a plugin-id like dependency, use the marker artifact which is also used for translating plugin id to code dependency.
io.github.themrmilchmann.ecj:io.github.themrmilchmann.ecj.gradle.plugin:0.2.0

Aha, that is nice to know. Is this some hidden rules? (Do we have a doc mentioning this trick?)
v
It's neither hidden, nor a trick. Just the standard plugin marker artifact: https://docs.gradle.org/current/userguide/plugins.html#sec:plugin_markers 🙂
