Yes, a composite build is an alternative to
buildSrc
. I generally prefer using a composite build unless I have a reason like the need to monkey-patch a plugin.
c
you do too much monkey patching...
just been debating on switching from
buildSrc
since I've started thinking it behave weird sometimes... although I'm not sure how to set it up to otherwise be like buildsrc right now. I've never set up kotlin plugin authoring before though
so... if I do it, I can probably figure it out...

Not much special necessary. Just have your build for example in
gradle/build-logic
, do the
includeBuild
within
pluginManagement { ... }
in the settings script and then apply your plugin. Other than with
buildSrc
that could even provide a settings plugin.
c
is there a reason to put it in the
gradle
directory?
v
No
Just personal preference
