I've followed the suggestion in the error about ignored Bindings but can't seem to resolve the issue. Am I doing something wrong somewhere?

I don't think that output is related to the failing. It is just SLF4J telling you that it found a binding for an old version that it ignores. That should not cause a failing of the call. But it is also not a Gradle topic. That task calls a Java program and that Java program exits with an exit code of 255 (or probably -1). You might try to debug that execution or ask in some community that knows that

generateJooq

is and why it might fail.

I saw it as gradle failing hence posting here may have been a step towards my problem being solved. But, yes you also have a point that it is the task that's failing and not gradle itself. I'll go look elsewhere. Have a great day!
