I am attempting to go Keto. Any tips? I found my replacement for Challah

It's very important to go on a ketogenic diet with guidance. Depending on the reason for this eating regiment, many aspects of the ketogenic diet can be implemented long term for optimal health. + adding the mix intermittent fasting and your body will say thank you.
m
Already was doing intermittent fasting, just adding in the keto now

Have you looked at the 647 brand bagels and bread? And the Carb Balance wraps?
c
I have been doing strict keto with intermittent fasting the past three months and I am a huge fan! I think it's mostly supposed to be a reset and weight loss diet, not permanent. And I use Royo bread for Shabbos based on the recommendation of some awesome guy in this group who responded to my thread a few months ago. Actually it might have been in the developer slack group.
m
why is it not permanent?
i am trying it not for weight loss but just improved health
c
It may be OK for improved health as a reset. I don't think it's completely natural. For example, I think there are athletes who wouldn't do it because carbs give more energy.
m
the keto diet includes having increased carbs for strength training, that isn’t outside keto
c
I think study show it can be permanent but may not be optimal to be permanent.
I understand that strict keto is less than 20 g of carbs a day
m
that’s if you are not strength training
c
I do strength training and I do less than 20 grams of carbs
m
athletic level or normal
c

A few things to keep in mind that I found personally is to make sure you have enough sodium, during fasting I drink some salt water.
