I have a partnership llc with my husband that we have been advised to amend to just one of us. We’d like it to be under my name for a few reasons, my only concern is if I get laid off from my regular job, will owning the llc cause me to lose unemployment benefits?

For a long time now, about 20–30% of my Zelle contacts in Ally have a status of "suspended." This includes pre-existing contacts and new ones I try to add. Any of these recipients that I reached out to informed me that they have no idea what I'm talking about—their Zelle works fine. My workaround is to Zelle them from my CapitalOne account, reaffirming that this is an Ally-specific problem. I had multiple conversations with Ally where I was fed all sorts of nonsense (seemingly from ignorance) and was never able to speak with a supervisor or the "back office" (very unimpressed, and I'm a long-time Ally fan). I got a hint, with no details, that they use some sort of third-party fraud detector outside of Zelle. But I don't see any pattern that would map these contacts to any sort of anomaly detection. I'm surprised that I can't find any complaints about this online. Anyone else have this issue?

I feel like there's a big focus on spending less, but not as much on earning more. BA"H I have four kids ages six to ten months, and two part time jobs. I'm paid hourly for each job and I'm finding it really hard to work more than the minimum that we need to survive - or even that much, honestly. I was salaried at one of the jobs - 30 hours per week - but I developed major panic attacks, probably due to job related stress / lack of sleep, and had to cut back. Now that I'm hourly I'm finding it difficult to prioritize working over other things such as taking a nap.

I had this idea that I want to put out there. It’s not totally fleshed out and I realize that there are potentially some downsides but for the right people the upsides may outweigh the downsides. Also I may be completely misunderstanding something so feel free to (nicely) point that out. I’m always getting offers for credit cards with many months of 0% interest. If I know for sure that I have the money to pay of those credit cards every month, would it make sense to just pay the minimum monthly payment and take the rest of the money that would have gone to pay of the full amount for that month and put it in a high interest making account. Then when the 0% interest promotion is over, pay off the full amount and start again with another 0% interest card. Assuming that I was actually disciplined about this and really put aside the money and didn’t touch it until the credit card needed to be fully paid off, wouldn’t this be free money?

Hi all, we had a baby in May 2024 (mazel tov!) and of the various bills from various providers, apparently I forgot to pay the anasthesiologist bill? It went to collections in August, I kinda ignored it, and last week it apparently went to civil court? They're asking the original $1600 and change, plus $60 in court fees. Question: any suggestions about offering a settlement? For example, my wife is a playgroup morah making $400/week, and I'm currently between W2 jobs (I'll be fine B"H) - would that help? If so, any recommendations on how to present that - personally, through an attorney, and/or how to phrase it? I did get a suggestion today that, at the collections phase, I should have asked them to "prove it" which apparently automatically stops collections? Anyway. Thanks!
