I have around $1500 in discover cashback, does anyone know the best way to redeem them, besides for just statement balance?

They should let you put it into a bank account. They might restrict it to accounts that have paid your cc bill in the past - lost track of which bank has what rules

Usually redeeming points for a gift card gets you a better return than straight cash/statement credit. There are some decent deals that go as high as 20-25% off

Sometimes, some Amazon items are discounted when you pay partially with Discover points. I think you can get the discount even if you use only one point.

Yeah discover offers discounted gift cards. I got one a few months ago for Airbnb, saved like 10% on a vacation rental. For the Amazon offers, you're right that it's enough to just use 1 point/cent to get the discount. Paying with discover points on Amazon gets you the same 1 cent per point return as cash and statement credits, so I just use 1 point to get the discount and put the rest on my credit card
