Requesting feedback! The Retroactive Trap: Why YNAB’s Envelope Method Stands Apart Published: https://frum.finance/budgeting/why-ynab/

Many great points there, but I'd say it conflates YNAB with budgeting and gives YNAB too much credit. I think it can first use most of those points to sell the idea of monthly budgeting, including saving for future expenses, and then briefly explain why YNAB is the best way to implement one over using a spreadsheet or other apps.

This is a fair critique. Let me think about how to rework it... The problem is I don't really see other software that uses the envelope method, and it's very hard to do in a spreadsheet so it's easy for me to conflate the two.
Would adding this paragraph before “YNAB Envelope method” help clarify the budgeting specific benefit prior to arguing for ynab?
Budgeting: A Proactive Approach
Budgeting, in its essence, is about planning your finances ahead of time. It involves setting aside specific amounts of money for different categories of expenses before spending occurs. Effective budgeting helps individuals and families allocate their resources efficiently, ensuring that they meet their financial goals and obligations. This approach provides a roadmap for financial decision-making, enabling better control over spending and saving.

I think that's good, and what do you think of moving the "Enhancing Shalom Bayis and Menuchas Hanefesh" section to immediately after that and adapt it to refer to budgeting instead of YNAB?
